About this event

PLEASE BRING YOUR IDs TO EVENT TO GET PAST SECURITY!

We will be hosting our annual PreSummit event on Wednesday, August 30th at eBay!

  • If you aren't going to Summit, this is a good opportunity for you to hear some of the speakers live.
  • If you are going to Summit, consider this one less conflict you might have to resolve (multiple talks at the same time); plus we'll share some Summit information/tips.
  • If you still aren't sure whether you're going, maybe this event will help with your decision. Also remember to use AUG300OFF as a code to get $300 off your tickets if you need it.

Either way, the speakers would love to do a dry-run of their talks with you and hear your questions. Here are the talks:

  1. WeWork Connect: Shaping Confluence to Reflect our Culture - Colleen Kasprzak, WeWork
  2. Add-Ons in the Enterprise: Best Practices for Evaluating, Onboarding & Managing Add-Ons - Madhusudhan Matrubai, Citadel
  3. Extending Trello - The Power Up Opportunity - Hamid Palo and Bentley Cook, Atlassian

Outside of those three talks, you can expect the following at this event:

  • Tips/information for those attending
  • Free food/drink/swag
  • Networking

Any questions, please let us know. We hope to see you there!

6:30 pm WeWork Connect: Shaping Confluence to Reflect our Culture - Colleen Kasprzak, WeWork WeWork is making significant strides in connecting members to the space, services, and community needed to create their life’s work. To scale effectively, it was essential to build an internal knowledge sharing platform that enables the WeWork team to be successful in a similar way. In this presentation, Colleen Kasprzak, Corporate Strategy Associate, will discuss the evolution of WeWork Connect from a grassroots effort to an on-brand corporate intranet for employees. By leveraging Confluence and available theming add-ons, a solution was developed that promotes interdepartmental transparency and collaboration, while connecting global team members through an interface that aligns with WeWork's core company values.
7:15 pm Add-Ons in the Enterprise: Best Practices for Evaluating, Onboarding & Managing Add-Ons - Madhusudhan Matrubai, Citadel Every Atlassian user's dream is it's Administrator's nightmare. If you are an Admin for an Atlassian suite of products, you will probably know what it means to keep the ecosystem stable and high performing while still taking advantage of the best add-ons out there and not overcrowding. This talk provides a brief overview on the various challenges of having a large inventory of add-ons and shares insight on the best guidelines to adopt during evaluation of new add-ons and onboarding them into production environment.
7:35 pm Extending Trello - The Power Up Opportunity - Hamid Palo and Bentley Cook, Atlassian Ready to take Trello to the next level? Power-Ups are the best way to dial in your teams' Trello boards to match your refined processes. We’ll dive into what Power-Ups are, why they exist, and briefly note some of the most popular Power-Ups and their functionality. Then, we’ll look at specific examples of teams using Power-Ups to complement and level up their processes. Finally, we’ll dive deep into the Custom Fields Power-Up, how teams use it, getting data from it, and how you and your team can build your own Power-Up to extend it.
