About this event

Now that you've survived the blizzard of 2017, we are sending positive vibes for our March event to mark the start of Spring.

We're back at WeWork Chelsea and have three great talks lined up for you. We took your votes seriously from the exercise we ran at last month's event. As always, outside of these talks, we'll have food, drinks and plenty of networking opportunities; and maybe even a prize or two. Please RSVP to save your spot as we have limited space at the event.

Top JIRA Administration Mistakes - Rachel Wright, Author of JIRA Strategy Admin Workbook

This topic received the third most votes.
The goal of the "Top JIRA Administration Mistakes" presentation is to keep others out of what Rachel calls the “JIRA swamp.” Or, if you’re already in it, help dig you out. This session is different – it’s about strategy. It’s recommendations from years of cleaning up horrible JIRA configurations! It’s about what you should do, what you shouldn’t do, and why. Hear the mistakes Rachel made as a JIRA administrator and real examples of problems to avoid. Would you rather your application be an organized, tidy, and trimmed garden or a foggy, contaminated, overgrown swamp? You'll have a chance to pick some of the topics that Rachel discusses.

Client Case Study: Microservices via Atlassian - Chris Riley, cPrime

Chris will speak on his recent engagement with a startup company and their journey towards a microservices strategy using Atlassian tools. He will expound the concepts and the architecture used to incorporate hybrid cloud into the build/deploy process. The specific workflow leverages Bamboo, Docker, Docker Hub and Amazon EC2 Container Service to channel the solution into production. Chris will share details on the benefits of adopting microservices and a use case for implementation.
