About this event

On the 28th of November we will meeet at Signavio (http://www.signavio.com) to disucss Atlassian and GDPR - the new General Data Protection Regulation which was the biggest reform of data protection law in Europe in the last 20 years and in Germany gave us a completely new version of our Federald Data Protection Law (or BDSG) 
This topic has two aspects for Atlassian:
Atlassian is part of the solution, helping to indroduce documented processes to help with risk assessment and establishing compliance
Atlassian is part of the problem, handling personal data from customers and employees in processes and systems that have grown over years. So how compliant are Atlassian solutions out of the box, how can compliance be achieved?
We want your experiences, opinions and solutions for this.

Trust Centers and Pseudonymization	The collection and analysis of sensitive personal identifying data is often necessary to enable our work. However, when working with such data, strict German and European data protection regulations must be observed. The new BDSG and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force in May 2018, regulate the handling of personal data more extensively. All actors wishing to collect or evaluate such data must guarantee technological procedures to ensure data protection. Pseudonymisation and trust centres can relieve the burden on the individual company or project. This way, secure methods are established to process, share and evaluate personal data in accordance with data protection regulations. Jörg Godau from the Schütze AG will provide insights from current projects in the healthcare industry.
